Connie Tao Designs.
Our Story
Art and design has always been a part of Connie Tao’s life. She grew up with a mother, aunt, and grandmother that worked in the design and dressmaking business. Her mother, an active fashion designer, greatly influenced her love of fashion and design. As a child, her parents supported her interests in art by enrolling her in art classes and encouraging her love of drawing. So it was no surprise when she decided to go to Otis College of Art and Design to get a Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Design.
Four years at Otis greatly sharpened Connie’s skills in illustrating and designing. Upon graduation, she was offered a position at BCBG MAX AZRIA GROUP. There she thrived in a fast paced, design driven environment. After five years of learning under some great designers and mentors, Connie decided to make a new start by opening her own business.
